Educational Qualifications for SAIL Bokaro Plant Recruitment 2023

Management Trainee Technical (Environment) (Grade- E-1)

  • B.E./B.Tech. (full time) in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science from Govt. recognized University / Institute. OR B.E./B.Tech. (full time) in any Engineering discipline & M.E./ M.Tech (Full-time) in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science from Govt. recognized University / Institute With Minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD/ Departmental Candidates) in both B.E/B.Tech & M.E/M.Tech as applicable.

Operator cum Technician (Trainee) (Grade- S-3)

  • Matriculation with 03 years (full time) Diploma in Engineering in relevant Engineering discipline from a Govt. recognized institute with Minimum 50% marks ( 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/ Departmental Candidates)

Mining Foreman (Grade- S-3) (Grade- S-3)

  • Matriculation with 03 years full time Diploma in Mining from a Govt. recognised Institute with valid Mines Foreman Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR, 1961 (For Metalliferous Mines) with Minimum 50% marks ( 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/ Departmental Candidates)
  • 1 year’s post qualification Experience in relevant field (after obtaining Mines’ Foreman Certificate of competency)

Surveyor (Grade- S-3)

  • Matriculation with 03 years (full time) Diploma in Mining or Diploma in Mining & Mines’ Survey from a Govt. recognized institute and possessing valid Mines Surveyor’s certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR,1961 (For Metalliferous Mines). with Minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PwBD/ Departmental Candidates) 
  • 1 year’s experience in relevant field (after obtaining Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency.)

Mining Mate (Grade- S-1)

  • Matriculation with valid Mining Mate Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR, 1961 (For Metalliferous Mines)
  • 1 year’s post qualification experience in relevant field (after obtaining Mining Mate’s Certificate.)

Mining Sirdar (Grade- S-1)

  • Matriculation from a Govt. recognized institute with Mining Sirdar’s certificate of competency from DGMS under CMR along with valid Gas Testing and First Aid Certificates 
  • 1 year’s experience in relevant field (after obtaining Mining Sirdar’s certificate of competency)

Attendant cum Technical (Trainee) HMV (Grade- S-1)

  • Matriculation with valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License or equivalent to operate Heavy Earth moving/ Mining Equipment. 
  • 1 year’s experience (after matriculation) in operating heavy earth moving/mining equipment. 

Attendant cum Technician Trainee Electrician (Grade- S-1)

  • Matriculation with (Full-time) ITI/NCVT in Electrician trade from a Govt recognized institute.

Upper Age Limit for Bokaro Steel Plant Recruitment 2023

SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant Exam Pattern

  • The CBT will be of One & Half Hour (1.5) hours duration 
  • The written examination will be in ONLINE mode and the question paper would consist of 100 nos. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in a maximum time of 1.5 hours. 
  • The medium of written examination shall be in English/Hindi. 
  • Every question will carry 1 (one) mark and there will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.

Selection Process for SAIL Bokaro Plant Recruitment 2023

For Management Trainee Technical (Environment)

  • The mode of selection for eligible applicants would be through examination, which may be computer based (CBT) followed by an interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in the ratio of 1:3 in order of merit. However, in the event of the number of applications received for any post being less than 1:5; examination (CBT) may not be conducted, and the candidates may be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview only.

For ALL other Posts

  • Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an examination which may be computer based (CBT), information for which will be provided in the Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Online test (CBT) will be sent communication to appear for Skill/Trade Test/ Driving Test (as applicable for the post), through careers page of SAIL website. Weightage of marks for Exam (CBT) will be 100%. Skill/Trade Test/ Driving Test will only be of qualifying nature.
  • Exam (CBT): Provisionally eligible candidates will be required to appear for objective type test (CBT) consisting of multiple choice questions at any of the centres decided by the Management. The minimum qualifying marks in the Online test (CBT) for unreserved posts/EWS will be determined based on 50 percentile score. For SC/ST/ OBC(NCL) / PwBD candidates the minimum qualifying marks will be 40 percentile score ONLY with respect to posts reserved for them.
  • Skill/Trade Test/ Driving Test: From among those who qualify in the exam (CBT), candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test/Physical Ability Test/ Driving Test in the ratio of 1:3 category wise in order of merit. 
  • The tests may be held at a short notice for which call letters will be uploaded on SAIL website and candidates will be intimated for the same through their email registered during filling up of online application. No other communication will be sent to the candidates for this purpose. 
  • For final selection, merit list will be prepared in descending order separately for each category on the basis of total marks obtained in the exam (CBT) by the candidates who qualify in Skill/Trade Test/ Driving Test.
