Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)
- Matriculation / SSLC, ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman, OR,
- Matriculation / SSLC, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above, OR,
- 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering, OR,
- Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern
CBT 1
- The CBT will be of ONE (1) hours duration
- The written examination will be in ONLINE mode and the question paper would consist of 75 nos. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in a maximum time of 1 hours.
- The medium of written examination shall be in Hindi / English only.
- The question paper will consists of Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness of Current Affairs, Every question will carry 1 (one) mark and there will be negative marking of 0.33 mark for each wrong answer.
- The minimum percentage to qualify the written examination will be 50% for General/EWS, 40% for OBC, 30% for the SC/ST/PWD categories. The cut –off marks specified would be applicable in the overall marks.
CBT 2
- The CBT will be of One hr Thirty Minutes (2:30) hours duration
- The written examination will be in ONLINE mode and the question paper would consist of 175 nos. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in a maximum time of 2:30 hours.

Selection Process for RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 for Assistant Loco Pilot
